DAAD has granted EUR 375,000 for three new Indo-German projects
08/02/2016A powerful boost for the cooperation of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) and partner universities in New Delhi. JMU gets around EUR 375,000 worth of funding for three new cooperation projects.
In the framework of the "Indo-German Partnerships in Higher Education", the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports as many as three new projects that see the University of Würzburg cooperate with partners in Delhi.
One of the projects is being established at the IPS India Forum: "Basics of the Indo-European strategic partnership". In this project, Prof. Dr. Gisela Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet, PD Dr. Michael Becker, Dr. Matthias Gsänger, Philipp Gieg and Timo Lowinger collaborate with Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi.
Comparative perspectives are aimed at analysing European and Indian political thinking. Moreover, the project deals with the basics, principles and structures of Indo-European relations that led to a strategic partnership between the EU and India in 2004.
