Nuclear Strategy of India – Vortrag von Prof. Alam

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Badrul Alam ist Professor und Vorstand am Department of Political Science der Jamia Millia Islamia (Islamische Universität) in Neu-Delhi. Er besucht das Institut für Politikwissenschaft und Soziologie im Mai als Gastprofessor

Am 20. Mai 2015 spricht Prof. Alam zum Thema "Nuclear Strategy of India. Pakistan and the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Deal". Der Vortrag beginnt um 18 Uhr in Hörsaal II am Wittelsbacherplatz.

Prof. Alam lehrt und forscht zu indischer Politik und Außenpolitik. Zu seinen jüngsten Veröffentlichungen zählen "Democracy and Good Governance: Re-inventing the Public Service Delivery System in India", "India, US, and the Nuclear Deal" sowie "Back to the Roots: Political Participation of Indian American Diaspora in US and India". Neben Vorträgen am Institut und bei den Kolleginnen der Indologie wird Prof. Alam auch einen Workshop zum Thema "Islam und Demokratie in Indien" gestalten.
